Lydia B. Guo*

After a career as a legal and business affairs executive at Netflix, NBCUniversal International Studios and TF1 America, Lydia founded Astra Lex to bring that institutional perspective to the independent side. She advises producers, studios and financiers on the full arc of content creation — business affairs, cross-border structuring, guild compliance, tax credit strategy and the emerging legal frameworks around generative AI, digital replicas and synthetic performances. Lydia has acted as a trusted legal and business advisor on more than 70+ projects around the world, including hit streaming series (My Life with the Walter Boys, House of David) and genre-defining projects (The Real Housewives of Toronto). She works primarily with clients who move fast and need counsel that reflects how networks and streamers actually operate — because she has been there.

Lydia holds a Bachelor's and Master's of Arts in English Literature from the University of Toronto and a Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School.
